Woody E. Lindsay, 50 of Grants Pass passed away January 17, 2012 at Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass. A Celebration of his life will be held in early summer at Schroeder Park. Woody moved to Grants Pass from Simi Valley California in 2000. Woody worked in the automotive industry repairing vinyl, leather and fabric since he was 17 years old. He was known as The Van Gogh of Vinyl, The Leonardo of Leather The Picasso of Plastic and The Fred Flintstone of Fabric. He serviced the following dealers in Grants Pass: Mocks Ford, Roe Motors, Jim Sigel, Lithia of Grants Pass and Oregon's Best Cars. Woody was a member of Calvary Church of Grants Pass, Ron Hayworth, Pastor. He enjoyed fishing most of all and could be seen often at Schroeder Park with his 6 pack belt. He also loved dirt bike riding, NASCAR and reading. He was an avid Oregon Duck fan and loved trips to Brookings to the Best Western Beach Front Inn with his partner Sarah. Survivors include his Partner Sarah Calhoun of Grants Pass; his brother Louis Lindsay and wife Jodi Lindsay of Sherrills Ford, NC; His Uncle Bill and wife Pam Anderson of Taft, CA; Aunts Betty Games of Porterville, CA and Minnie Roberts of Springville, CA; Nephews Jared and Jodi Lindsay of Sherrills Ford, NC. His parents Louis and Mary Lindsay, Grandparents Ellis and Clara Anderson preceded him in death.
