October 31, 1933 — May 17, 2008

Willis Edgar Resue, died May 17, 2008 at Three Rivers Community Hospital. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 181 West Evans Creek Rd., Rogue River, on Saturday May 24 at 3:00 PM. He was born on October 31, 1933 in the town of Westfield, PA. His childhood years were spent growing up in various parts of upstate New York, where he lived on a farm with his parents, Edna and Hiraim Resue and his younger siblings Arthur, Donald, Reed, Jerry, Robert and Mary Jane. In 1950 he married Marilyn Bareis. They left the state of New York and moved to Southern California were Bill worked as a machinist. While they lived in West Covina they had two daughters, Bonnie and Debbie. In 1960 he purchased acreage from a catalog advertisement in the little town of Rogue River. Then in 1964 he decided to raise his family out of the city atmosphere and moved permanently to the Rogue Valley. He took employment with Cal Gas as a gas deliveryman and service technician. Later, he started his own contracting company, WERco. Construction, resulting in him building many custom homes in the valley. Before retiring he established “Buffalo Bills Diner” on Rogue River Hwy. in Grants Pass, where he became affectionately known as “Buffalo Bill”. There he made many fond memories while feeding friends in the community. In 1996 Bill married Dolores Perkins and welcomed her children Steve, John, Kathy, Janette, Julie and Daniel into the family. He is survived by his wife Dolores Resue, his sister Mary Jane, daughters Bonnie Baskins and Debbie King, along with granddaughters Brianna Baskins and Cheyanne King. From those of us whose lives you touched, you will be missed.
