William E. Lewis, 98 of Grants Pass passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass, Oregon. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Countryside Village. On June 16, 1937 he married Marjorie Evelyn Hensley in Pearl, Illinois they celebrated their 76th wedding anniversary earlier this year. In 1945 he moved from La Puente, California to Grants Pass, Oregon. For many years he worked as a maintenance and repair for Pacific Power & Light. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and any work outside as he loved being outdoors. In addition to his wife survivors include his son, Michael Lewis of Oceanside, California and his daughter, Diane Riebel of Grants Pass, Oregon, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Hull.
