William (Bill) Charles Cannon, 92 of Grants Pass passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at his home in Grants Pass.
Bill was born on November 19, 1928 in Mount Shasta, California to William and Mary Cannon. He was an only child and had a very carefree childhood.
After High Scholl he attended the Pre-Med program at UC Berkely. He left college to enlist in the United States Air Force where he served during the Korean Conflict.
On January 13, 1962 in San Mateo, California he married the love of his life, Joyce Elaine Rottmann. They raised three children and he worked as a Property Appraiser in Sacramento and Hayward, California.
On his time off he enjoyed camping and fishing with his family. Yosemite was a frequent destination. However, travel also took Bill and his family across the western US and Canada, as well as to Washington DC and the east coast.
Bill loved learning. He often had a book with him. His favorite subjects were science, history and religion. He was also a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.
Upon retiring Bill and Joyce moved to Grants Pass where they enjoyed more travel. Visiting Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Italt and Greece. They also traveled throughout the US visiting many historic places.
In addition to his wife, Joyce, Bill is survived by his son's; Bill (Kim) of Grants Pass, Joe (Gloria) of LaCanada-Flintridge, California, daughter; Leslie (David) Wolfe of Redmond, Washington and 4 grandchildren; Hayden, James, Larisa and Catie.
