William "Bill" Thomas Campbell, 74 of Grants Pass passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at his home from Pancreatic Cancer. A celebration of his life with military honors will be held Friday, May 10th, 6:30 PM at Stephens Family Chapel with Pastor Ken Bern Officiating. Contributions: Lovejoy Hospice or the American Cancer Society. Bill was born on June 21, 1938 in Butte, Montana to Dennis & Dorothy Campbell. His father passed away when Bill was 5 years old. Bill graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in Los Angeles, California in 1956. He then served in the United States Air Force from 1956 until his honorable discharge in 1960. He married Betty Yvonne Nelson on February 22, 1958 in Hawthorne California. Bill worked as a Glazier for Olson Glass in Southern California until his retirement in the early 1990's. After his retirement Bill returned to working as a commercial remodeler for Level One, he also worked part-time for First Student in Grants Pass. Bill and Yvonne moved to Grants Pass from Lake Isabella, California in January 2004. He was a member of the Glassworkers and Glazers Union Local 636. Bill enjoyed RV'ing, Traveling, Camping, Waterskiing, Boating, running his tractor maintaining his 5 acres, animals, loved spending time with family & friends and helping others. Bill was a master of all trades. In addition to his wife survivors include four children, Gary Campbell of Oxnard, California, Stephen Campbell of Simi Valley, California, Cheryl DeLeon Steen of Grants Pass and Mark Campbell of Simi Valley, California; Eight Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren.
