He served in the army at White Sands Proving Ground, honorably discharged in 1947. He was the author of several well known books on animal behavior as well as a series of 36 booklets called Behaviouâ, that are distributed by veterinary hospitals all over the U.S., Canada, Australia and England. He is survived by his wife Peggy of 50 years, son Collin of So. California, Sister Margery, of So. California and step daughter Shirley of New Jersey. Brother Douglas preceded him in death.
