Wendel C. Allen

Wendell C. Allen, 87 of Glendale, Oregon passed away April 27, 2013 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass, Oregon. A viewing will be held Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 12:00 - 4:00 PM at Stephens Family Chapel. Graveside service with military honors will be held Friday, May 3, 2013, 9:00 AM at Eagle Point National Cemetery in Eagle Point, Oregon with Pastor Ken Bern officiating. Wendell was born on February 1, 1926 to Cecil and Ola Allen in Joplin, Missouri. He served in the Merchant Marines from 1941 until his retirement in 1987. On December 6, 1985 he married Maria Senaida Saiz in Vancouver, Washington. They moved to Southern Oregon in 1988. He enjoyed gardening. In addition to his wife survivors include five step-sons; two step-daughters; sister's, Alda Guilliams and Judy Taylor; 21 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brother's and 5 sister's.
