Orville âWayneâ Cummins 77, of Williams passed away Sunday, September 14, 2008 at his home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 17th from 3:00pm -5:00pm at Stephens Family Chapel. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held Thursday, September 18th 2:00 PM at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Wayne was born on May 1, 1931 in Mulberry, Kansas to Edwin and Lettie Cummins. Wayne served in the US Army from January 12, 1949 until his honorable discharge July 29, 1950. He received to Purple Hearts and Korean Service Medal with 5 Bronze Service Stars. Wayne married Joan Brisbin on November 14, 1953 in Reno Nevada. He worked for Twenty-years as a diesel mechanic for a trucking company in San Francisco, retiring in 1985. Wayne and Joan moved to Williams in September of 1987 from Milpitas, California. He loved fishing, gardening, animals and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife survivors include two sons, Jon Cummins of Chico, CA and Dana Cummins of Helena, MT; daughter, Pamela Swenor of San Jose, CA; four brothers, Darrell Cummins, Norman Cummins, George Cummins and Robert Cummins; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Tommy and one sister Eunice.
