Wanda Sue Peterson

Wanda Sue Peterson 63 of Cave Junction passed away Sunday, October 8, 2006 at Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass. Graveside Services: Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 3:00 PM, Laurel Cemetery in Cave Junction Wanda was born on December 18, 1942 in Cove, Arkansas to Leonard & Goldie Winters. She married Charles Kenneth Peterson on October 20, 1962 in Crescent City, California. Wanda worked for the Tacoma Hospital in housekeeping and was the owner of her own trucking company from 1980-87 until health issues forced her to retire. In 1987 Wanda & Charles moved from Tacoma, Washington to Cave Junction. Wanda enjoyed volunteering with American Legion Auxiliary, Playing Bingo. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping and boating. She also enjoyed making porcelain dolls and loved being with family and especially her grandkids. Wanda was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #70, serving as a Chaplin, Sergeant of Arms, Executive Board member and 2nd Vice President. Survivors Include: Husband Chuck Peterson; Cave Junction, Oregon; daughter Lori Colbert, Cave Junction, Oregon; Son Eric Peterson, Raeford, North Carolina 5 Grandchildren 2 Great Grandchildren Preceded in Death Daughter Charlotte Peterson 1992
