Walter "Walt" James Frizzell, 83, of Grants Pass died Friday, November 25, 2011, at Three Rivers Community Hospital. Walter was born on July 24, 1928 in Bozeman, Montana to Charles and Frieda Frizzell. He served in the United States Marines during WWII receiving his honorable discharge on August 8, 1949. Walter worked for 40 years as a Sprinkler Fitter for the Sprinkler Fitters Union in Los Angeles, California. He was married to Maryjo Milne from 1965 until she passed away in 2000. Together they moved from California to Grants Pass in 1993. On October 31, 2000 in Reno, Nevada he married Miriam "Sue" Mincey who survives. He was a member of the Wilderville Community Church. He enjoyed flying & building model airplanes, dancing, bowling, working with his hands and helping others and helping out at the church. Survivors include his wife Miriam "Sue" Frizzell of Grants Pass; Seven children Michael Frizzell of Pasadena, CA, Walter Frizzell Jr. of Frederick, CO, Rhett Squires of Ventura, CA, Peter Squires of Ventura, CA, Linda Caster-Marroquin or Warwick, NY, James Caster of San Antonio, TX and Phil Caster of Rapid City, SD; 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Maryjo Frizzell and son Gregory Frizzell.
