Viva Bernice Boat, 82 passed away August 21, 2015 at her home in Murphy, Oregon. A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Provolt Community Church in Grants Pass, Oregon. Viva was born January 10, 1933 to James and Sarah Flanders in Malvern, Arkansas. Viva and her husband William Boat celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on August 12th. She loved being a country wife and mother. She lived most of her life in Williams & Murphy, Oregon. She attended Provolt Community Church. She had a deep heart for those who did not know the Lord as their Savior. Her last words were Jesus. Survivors include her husband William (Bill) Boat; son, Randy Boat; daughters, Ellen Heater and Sheri Heisner; 5 grandchildren, Zachary Heater, Alexander Heater, Sierra Heater-Howerton, McKenzie Heisner-Cunningham, Christopher Heisner and 1 great granddaughter, Kate Cunningham. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim & Sarah Flanders and her son-in-law, Gary Heater.
