Virginia Mae Sanders

Virginia M. Sanders, 98 of Grants Pass passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Maureen's Adult Foster Care in Grants Pass, Oregon. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 22, 2013, 12:00 pm at Stephens Family Chapel in Grants Pass. Private Interment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Williams Community Church, 228 E Fork Road, Williams, Oregon 97544. Virginia was born on March 21, 1915 in Mason City, Iowa to Lynn and Clara Sherman. On June 10, 1935 she married Harold Phillip Sanders at The Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa. Harold preceded her in death. Virginia was the owner and operator for 30 years of Sandy's Bakery in Brentwood, California. In 1971 she moved from Malibu, California to Southern Oregon. She was a member of Williams Community Church in Williams, Oregon and also volunteered at Asante Three Rivers Community Hospital Auxillary. She enjoyed painting, knitting, gardening, baking and cooking. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Lee Riggs of Williams, Oregon, Sandra Kay Johnson of Arroyo Grande, California and Susan Diane Napier of Corvallis, Oregon, 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
