Virginia Rita Dickson

Virginia R. (Lattanzi) Dickson Virginia Rita Lattanzi was born June 22, 1926, to Joseph Lattanzi in Quincy, Mass. Adopted at birth and raised by her paternal grandparents, Ernesto and Hortense Lattanzi, Virginia lived in New York until 1939 when the family relocated to Nicholson, PA. There she met her future husband, Basil C. Dickson, and they were married in 1948. Basil ran Oxbow Farm in East Lemon, PA, and they had five children (Diane, Debara, Lorraine, Clifford and Thomas). In 1965 the family moved to Norwalk, CA. Virginia worked at Rancho Los Amigos Hospital until moving to Visalia, CA in 1969, when she joined Kaweah Delta Hospital, and retired in 1990 from Jostens Yearbook. In 1991 Basil and Virginia moved to Wilderville, Oregon. They were married for 65 years upon Basil's passing in July 2013. Virginia was excellently cared for at Laurel Hill Nursing Home prior to her death on October 2, 2014 at age 88. Virginia is survived by four children (Diane, Debara, Lorraine and Clifford), six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Basil in 2013, and son, Thomas in 1981. Family services will be private.
