Vicky Lynn Huffman Richardson, 58, passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at her momâs home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Porterville, Calif., on March 13, 1951. She spent most of her life in Oregon, but also spent some time in Nevada. She was living in Gold Hill at the time of her death. Vicky graduated from Crater High School in 1969. She was the President of the Gold Hill Youth Club, was Yell Queen at Hanby Junior High School in Gold Hill and also a contestant in the Miss Rogue Valley Pageant. She was employed with the State of Oregon for 23yrs. and most recently with the DHS Child Welfare branch in Grants Pass, Ore. She is survived by her parents, Donna Thacker and Clifford Huffman; sisters, Leah Taylor (Ben) and Elaine Cabanyog (Rick Coimbra); her daughter, Alicia Pappe; her grandchildren, Dakota, Christian, Haleigh, Brandilyn, Chace, Zoey, Jaiden, and Tia; her step grandchildren, Jairicka and Jordan; her lifelong friend, Pamala McKeen; three stepbrothers and one stepsister. She was preceded in death by her son, Brandon Haight; her stepmother, Retha Huffman; her stepfather, David Thacker; her grandparents, Arlo (Skinny) and Alice Bouslaugh and Ralph and Elfrida Huffman; two uncles, two aunts, one stepsister and her beloved dog, Jazz There will be a memorial potluck gathering at the Roxy Ann Grange on the corner of Valley View and Spring Street in Medford on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, from 2 to 5 p.m. for relatives, friends and all who would like to share memories and reconnect.
