Vernon Dale Vinyard, 82 of Grants Pass passed away, March 31, 2013 at Highland House Nursing & Rehab. Center in Grants Pass, Oregon. Graveside service with military honors will be held Friday, April 5, 2013, 11:00 AM at Hartley Cemetery in Williams, Oregon. A celebration of life will be held Friday, April 5, 2013, 2:00 PM at Stephens Family Chapel with Pastor Monty Pope of First Baptist Church of Selma officiating. Vernon was born on December 5, 1930 in Williams, Oregon to Guy and Dona Vinyard. He graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1950. He served in the United States Army from 1952 - 1954. On April 6, 1957 he married Una Mae Kenyon in Grants Pass, Oregon. She preceded him in death in 1997. He worked as an agriculture foreman for Fry Farms Mint Farm INC. from 1955 - 1987 and then went on to work for Dunmurray Farms from 1989 - 1994 in which he retired. He is survived by his son's, Michael Vinyard of Grants Pass, Oregon, Gregory Vinyard of Talent, Oregon and Randell Vinyard of Cave Junction, Oregon; daughter's, Janelle Haskell of Grants Pass, Oregon and Alissa Vinyard of Grants Pass, Oregon; brother's, Leonard Vinyard of Grants Pass, Oregon and Dean Vinyard of Merlin, Oregon; sister's, Venola Vinyard of Grants Pass, Oregon, Geraldine Vinyard of Grants Pass, Oregon and Ruby Wilmoth of Coquille, Oregon; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Vinyard in 1965; mother, Dona Vinyard in 1991; brother, Baby Vinyard in 1933.
