Out Hero's Journey; Tyler's Cosmic Crossing!
Our beloved Tyler, though your physical form was taken far too soon, your impact and energy will forever live on through the ones who had the honor of knowing you. You had a quick wit, a fondness for silent observation, and an affinity for the esoteric side of life. With an eye for self-exploration, you focused intently on your personal journey through the inner forest we all encounter. But for you, it was never just a journey-it was a quest. You made your own life, your own Hero's Journey.
You often used silence to your advantage, remaining willfully mysterious, yet there was always a glimmer of playfulness in your eye, as if you were aware of some inside cosmic joke the rest of us hadn't yet caught onto. You had an effortless way of standing out-whether in a niche black metal T-shirt few recognized or that signature rice hat (you know the one). You were highly intelligent, never boastful, but a vast ocean of knowledge. Never quick to judge, never close-minded, you embraced the absurdity of life with curiosity.
One of the first books you encouraged others to read was A Hero With a Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell. You saw yourself as the chosen one on a grand adventure-Separation. Initiation. Return. Long before your diagnosis, this idea resonated with you, but when you got sick, you truly felt the call to action. Your quest became healing.
At some point, your journey shifted to something greater. You prepared us for it, subtly, in your own way. As Campbell wrote, "We have not even to risk the adventure alone, for the heroes of all time have gone before us. The labyrinth is thoroughly known... we have only to follow the thread of the hero path."
And now, your energy is not gone, only transformed. You won't cease to exist-just in physical form. Now that you have unhindered access to the Akashic records, you've finally learned all the secrets to the universe. We can't wait until you greet us at the gates, and we can become your pupils again. Or as you would've put it "prodigies".
Say hi to your Grandparents and Nigel for us-tell them they're missed dearly. Just like you are now.
Until we meet again, our hero, rest in peace.
