Tommy L. Enslow Sr., 70, of Grants Pass died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at his home of complications from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Private family services will be held. He was born July 9, 1937, in Pomona, Kan., to Glen and Lorene Enslow. He served in the Army from Jan. 31, 1955, until his honorable discharge on Jan. 30, 1963. On Oct. 5, 1958, in Lakewood, Calif., he married Geri Shapland, who survives. They moved to Grants Pass in April 1960 from California. He enjoyed playing games and tinkering around the house. Prior to his accident, he enjoyed breaking and training quarter horses. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters, Julie Ramsey of Grants Pass, Lori Kenney of Salem, and Sally Enslow of Grants Pass; three sisters, Rose Dean of Georgia, and Lorna Winn and Peggy Sanchez, both of California; four brothers, Terry, Gary, Donnie and Ronnie Richardson, all of California; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A son, Tommy "Rowdy" Enslow Jr., died Sept. 16, 2007.
