Tom Lendewig

Tom Lendewig, 67, of Williams died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at Fair View Transitional Health Center. Services with military honors will be held at 9 a.m. Oct. 10 at Stephens Family Chapel. He was born Thomas Emil Lendewig, May 26, 1942, in San Francisco to Edward and Alberta Lendewig. He served in the Army from Oct. 27, 1961, until his honorable discharge on Oct. 21, 1963. On June 13, 1987, in Salinas, Calif., he married Ginette VanGordon, who survives him. They moved to Williams in February 2001 from Greenfield, Calif. He was a member of Edgewater Christian Fellowship and he enjoyed reading and woodworking. In addition to his wife, Ginette VanGordon, survivors include a son, Eric Lendewig of Orangevale, Calif.; a daughter, Heidi Payan of Pacific Grove, Calif.; two sisters; a brother; and eight grandchildren.
