Thomas Pierce

Thomas Pierce, 40, of Grants Pass died Monday, April 20, 2009, in Grants Pass. A potluck will be held at noon Sunday at Tom Pearce Park. Pierce was born July 24, 1968, in Grants Pass, where he attended Redwood Elementary, South Middle School and Grants Pass High School. He worked in many different jobs. In his late 30s, he began building computers and spent many hours learning about computer hardware. He enjoyed fishing, camping, prospecting, laughing, telling jokes and teasing his friends and family. He also enjoyed animals, especially exotic birds. Survivors include a daughter, Bethany Pierce of Grants Pass; a son, Lucas Pierce of Grants Pass; four brothers, Russell and Michael Pierce, both of Grants Pass, Clayton Pierce of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Steven Kelly of Merlin; three sisters, Elizabeth Pierce of Grants Pass, Deana Lattimer of North Bend, and Tricia Lynch of Eugene; and his stepmother, Janet Pierce. His mother, Patricia Kelley, died in 1997, and his father, Carl Pierce, died in 2008.
