Suzanne (Selig) Barnum

Suzanne (Selig) Barnum went home to Our Lord July 27th 2024 after a lengthy illness at the age of 70 in Grants Pass Oregon. She was born in Toledo Ohio on May 17, 1954 , moved to Simi Valley Ca in 1960 and then moved to Grants Pass, Oregon 6 years ago. . She is preceded in death by her Mother , Evelyn Menge, Father, Albert Selig , Brother , Larry Selig and by her partner Tom Rolands who was the true love of her life . She had an illustrious career in the aerospace industry , most recently as a quality control engineer with the Dept of Defense. She took great pride in her work and made many friends throughout the years. They described her as helpful, kind hearted, patient and a great mentor and friend. Suzanne's great passion was her dogs. All dogs. She loved and adored each pet or her babies as she called them. Suzanne lived life on her own terms and was a very loving sister and aunt to her Brothers, Richard ( Charlotte) Selig, Kenneth ( Terri) Selig , sister, Cheryl Smith, Nephews, Robin Selig and Brendon Panasewich. Her nieces Jody Lee, Kimberly Selig, Christine Chavez, Lea Selig, Allison McGuire, Christina Neff and Samantha Fountaine. She adored her step children, Dave, Stephanie and Carrie Stone.. she was a fabulous Southern cook and loved reading and spending time with her friends and loved ones. Everywhere she went, she met strangers and made them into friends. She always found optimism in the hardest of times and encouraged others to live life as a gift. She was very generous and the first one to lend a hand when needed. There will be no services as she did not desire one but knowing her heart, shed love that anyone who cared to, would donate to an animal rescue. Suzanne will be missed dearly all our days.
