Steven Donald Emptage

Steven D. Emptage, 59 of Grants Pass passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at his home. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, October 1st 2:30 PM at Missouri Flat Cemetery. He was born Steven Donald Emptage on April 11, 1952 in La Jolla, California to Fredrick and Dorothy Emptage. He graduated from San Dieguito High School in 1969. In 1970 he moved to Oregon from Encinitas, California. Steven later received his degree in Botany from Southern Oregon College. On January 22, 1975 he married Laura Kay Donnell in Ashland, Oregon, she preceded him in death on January 3, 2006. Steven worked for Noble's Dairy for 15 years and the Herb Pharm for 20 years as an Herbal Tech. He was a member of Applegate Christian Fellowship and Calvary Chapel. Steven enjoyed gardening, wild crafting herbs, baseball, fishing, camping, bird watching and studying the Bible. Survivors include five children Noah Emptage, Claire Crandall, Joseph Emptage, Ben Emptage all of Grants Pass and Trevor Emptage of White City, Oregon; mother Dot Emptage and Sister Michelle Emptage both of Encinitas, California; five grandchildren. In addition to his wife his daughter Julianna Emptage and his father Fred Emptage preceded him in death.
