Sterling Jack Witt

Sterling “Jack” Witt, 88, of Grants Pass died January 8, 2010, at Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 11:00 AM at Stephens Family Chapel with Pastor Ken Bern Officiating Interment will be held Thursday, January 14, 2010, 11:00 AM at Sutter Cemetery, Sutter, California. Jack was born in Elk City, Kansas on November 9, 1921; He was a WWII veteran serving in the CB’s. He lived at several locations in California including Nevada City and Paradise where he was an excellent upholsterer, specializing in antiques. Jack’s favorite pastimes were fishing, baseball, and bowling. He was active in several bowling leagues in Paradise and Grants Pass. He was also active in the VFW, American Legion, Moose Lodge and Odd Fellows. Jack leaves his wife, Caryl Witt of Grants Pass, Oregon and his daughter, Julie Schuck of Palo Alto, California.
