Shirley Ann Dunham, Grants Pass, OR resident, went home to her Lord and Savior at the age of 72 in Medford, OR on November 9, 2021.
Shirley was born July 24, 1949 in San Bernardino, CA to Louise and Sidney Young. She moved to Grants Pass in the early 90s to be closer to her mother and sisters. Shirley worked for various banking institutions throughout her life, and was widely regarded to be very responsible with money. She shared this gift with others by teaching them how to save, and in some cases even safeguarded the financial interest of others. Toward the end of her life, she was very proud to have purchased a brand new home after years of hard work and saving. Shirley was also a caregiver for over 20 years.
Shirley loved two things fiercely: the Lord, and her family. A long-time church-going Christian, she had a deep relationship with God and always said she would be happy to join him in Heaven when her time came. She enjoyed watching movies, trips with family, and spending time with her many grandkids and great-grandkids.
Most of all, Shirley is known for her overwhelming kindness and generosity toward others. Whether friend or stranger, she was always willing to give of her time, her heart, and her wealth. Her patience was unending, and she loved without conditions.
Shirley is survived by her four children, Debra Mahan, Darlene Mahan, Timothy Ferrari, and Meggan Hill; her six grandchildren, Amanda, Reanna, Shawnee, Corey, Kimberly, and Rylynn; her seven great-grandchildren, Anna, Bryonna, Debby, Ayden, Savannah, Liam, and Harriet; and her two sisters, Charlotte Trujillo and Donna Likens.
Shirley was preceded in death by her twin sons, James and John; her granddaughter, Carla; her sister, Christina Webber; and her parents, Sidney Young and Louise Packard.
