Sfc Eric Neil Martinho

Former Selma resident US Army Sergeant First Class Eric Neil Martinho, 39, of El Paso, Texas passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008, in California. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 4th at 11:00 AM, The Lodge at the Riverside Convention Center: 955 SE 7th Street, Grants Pass. He was born on May 8, 1968 in Grants Pass to Manuel and Carole Martinho. He graduated from Illinois Valley High School in 1986. Eric joined the United States Army in 1991, during his 17 years in the Army he served in Desert Storm and completed two tours in Iraq. He married Penny Farley on June 27, 1999 in Cave Junction. Eric loved to Golfing, outdoors, hiking, camping and picking wild mushrooms. Survivors include his wife Penny Martinho of El Paso, Texas; Father, Manuel Martinho of Cave Junction; Daughter, Jenelle Grewell of Clarksville, Tennessee; Three Sisters, Jean Williams of Santa Maria, CA, Kathy McVarish of Crescent City, CA and Cindy Scott of Grants Pass; Four Brothers, Manuel Martinho of Crescent City, CA, Lee Martinho of O'Brien, Chris Martinho of Cave Junction and Manuel Martinho of Eugene, Oregon; Numerous Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Sister, Maria Martinho and Mother, Carole Martinho
