Ryan Curtis Tejcka

Ryan was called to his heavenly home Thursday, January 14, 2016 after a courageous battle of end-stage Duchenne, Muscular Dystrophy. He was born September 11, 1991 to Curt and Mary Tejcka in Medford, Ore. Ryan's smile would brighten a room of any size. His gentle and kind touch in life inspired all who knew him; it even reached people he didn't know. While his life on earth may have been shortened, he lived each and every day to the fullest. There are countless memories and stories that will be forever shared of Ryan's hilarious sense of humor, his quick wit, his compassion toward others, his zest for life, and his faith and love for God. The joys of Ryan's life were animals of every size, shape, and form, video gaming, computer prowess, music, and of course, being with his family and friends. His dogs, O'Malley and Mo Mo were his lifeline to living a full and happy life. O'Malley met Ryan each and every morning with a slobbery kiss without any protest from Ryan. Ryan is survived by his loving parents, Curt and Mary Tejcka; his beloved, brother, Nick Tejcka; his grandparents, Harold and Delores Tejcka; his aunts and uncles, Bill and Delora Risser, Paul and Suzie Custer, Margaret Custer, and Matt Custer; his cousins, Jennifer Singer, Morgan Custer, Wyatt Risser, Joseph Custer, John Custer, Christina Custer, Rachel Custer, Mary Lilly Custer, and Jada Singer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Mary Jeanne Custer and his uncle, Dan Custer. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church, 600 Beebe Rd., Central Point, Ore. 97502. The Rev. Fr. Jim Clifford will officiate and celebrate the Mass. n lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ryan's honor may be made to the Medford Humane Society, Shriner's Hospital, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, or a charity of your choice.
