Ryan Earl Hanson

Ryan Earl Hanson, 55 of Grants Pass passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford, Oregon. A private ceremony will be held at Stephens Family Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held, June 29, 2013 at 5:00 pm. For more information please respond to celebrateryno2013@yahoo.com. Ryan was born August 11, 1957 in Walnut Creek, California. He spent his younger years in the Los Angeles, California area until he moved to Grants Pass in 1970. He then moved to Guam in 1974, where he graduated from George Washington High School, Guam in 1975. He spent the following years between Grants Pass and Honolulu, Hawaii. In 1980 he decided to finally settle down in Grants Pass. He worked as a bartender at The Casa Del Rio and for many years at The Wonder Bur Lounge. Ryan retired in 2003. He celebrated the birth of his daughter in 2007. On May 3, 2009 he married Angela Johnson in Grants Pass, Oregon. Ryan lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed surfing, camping, hiking, rafting and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his wife, Ryan is survived by his daughter, Alexandra Hanson; step-son, Jacob Burton; parents, Lynn Dunning and Shirley Francis-Dunning; sister, Stephanie Dunning; brother, Tim Dunning; grandmother, Ivy Phelan and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
