Obituary Information Ruby P. Whitaker, 76 of Rogue River passed away April 20, 2014 at Flaherty's Adult Foster Care Home in Grants Pass, Oregon. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014, 1:00pm at Stephens Family Chapel with Pastor Ken Bern officiating. Ruby was born on January 5, 1938 in Los Angeles, California to Woodrow and Catherine Bay. On November 16, 1957 she married Rufus Whitaker in Winterhaven, California. In 1970 they moved to Southern Oregon. Ruby enjoyed needle craft and breeding Shih-Tzu dogs. In addition to her husband, survivors include her sons, Rufus Whitaker Jr. (Jay) of Grants Pass, OR, Daniel Whitaker of Springfield, OR and David Whitaker of Grants Pass, OR; daughter, Ruby Whitaker of Medford, OR; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
