Ruby Gertrude Thompson

Ruby G. Thompson, 94, of Grants Pass died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at Maureen's Adult Foster Care in Grants Pass. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Thompson was born Sept. 8, 1919, in Marshall, Okla., to Alfred and Lulu Cooper. In 1952, in Long Beach, Calif., she married Jim Thompson, who died before her. She worked as a cook in a hospital for many years. She enjoyed her flowers and dog and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include a son, Jack Tubbe of Grants Pass; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Two sons and a daughter died before her.
