Rosenda Halterman

Rosenda "Rose" Halterman, 44, of Grants Pass died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at her home. An all-night vigil will be held from 4 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Anne, with Monsignor Gregory Moys presiding. Interment will be at Serenity Garden Cemetery in Tanjay, Philippines. Halterman was born March 1, 1965, in Tanjay to Crispiniano and Quirina Cueco. She moved to the United States in 1994. On June 4, 1996, in Lake Tahoe, Calif., she married Eric Wayne Halterman, who survives. They moved to Grants Pass in 1999 from Savannah, Ga. She worked as a medical technologist at Three Rivers Community Hospital. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and she served as treasurer for the Southern Oregon Filipino American Association. She enjoyed gardening, singing, spending time at the beach, volunteering at St. Anne Catholic School and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Kyra and Karly Halterman, both of Grants Pass; her mother, Quirina Cueco of the Philippines; seven sisters, Caridad Labe, Flaviana Benedian, Fortunata Tabunda, and Cecilia and Reynalda Cueco, all of the Philippines, Fedilina Ligo of Singapore, and Florencia Khan of Hong Kong; and six brothers, Julian Cueco of Michigan, Severino Cueco of Massachusetts, and Octavio, Victor, Macanio and Zosimo Cueco, all of the Philippines.
