Rosie Marie (Rosie) Anne Johnson, 90, of Grants Pass, Oregon, died December 16, 2018, at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center. Rosie was born November 12, 1928, in Los Angeles, California, and was the oldest of three girls. Rosie had one year in college as a math major. On June 19, 1949, Rosie married her husband, Gilbert, in Los Angeles. Upon retirement in 1986, they moved to Rogue River,
Oregon, to join her three children, five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Rosie was a Catholic. She was a secretary for the city of Los Angeles, Mason Electric, Canon Electric, and an insurance agency. She was also a proofreader for a book translator and a bookkeeper. Rosie enjoyed playing solitaire, reading, sewing and quilt making.
Rosie is survived by her daughter, Jean Hart of Rogue River; and two sons, Larry Johnson of Rogue River and Michael Johnson of Grants Pass, Oregon. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Johnson of Rogue River; mother and father, George (Coletta) of Los Angeles, California; sisters, Coletta Gorrell
of Woodruff, South Carolina and Charlene Machunis, El Monte, California.
