Ronnie Maynard, 61 of Grants Pass passed away, November 22, 2012 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center. Private services with military honors have been held at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Ronnie was born on December 15, 1950 in Grants Pass, Oregon to Robert and Lillie Maynard. He served in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam. On November 24, 1972 he married Kimberly Larson in Reno, Nevada. He has resided in Merlin for the past 30 years. Ron was a small business man, owning three businesses over the course of 10 years. He loved working with his hands and making people laugh. Often times he would have a long white beard and due to his contagious laugh, he was called Santa Claus by many close friends. Ron was always someone who you could count on. If your car broke down in Burns, he would drop what he was doing and come rescue you. He will be greatly missed, but not forgotten. His sense of humor will live on his kids. In addition to his wife survivors include four sons; Shane Maynard of Grants Pass, Chad Maynard of Grants Pass, Evan Maynard of Grants Pass and Jesse Maynard of Grants Pass; daughter, Shilo Maynard of Grants Pass; brother, Frank Maynard of Grants Pass; sister, Roberta Maynard of Grants Pass; 6 grandchildren.
