Ronald Powell

Ronald G. Powell, 66 of Grants Pass died Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at his home from a rare lung disease called Pulmonary Fibrosis. Funeral Services: Monday, August 14, 2006, 10AM at Stephens Family Chapel, 1629 Williams Highway. Interment will follow at Eagle Point National Cemetery, Eagle Point, Oregon Stephens Family Chapel is handling the arrangements. Ron was born on July 14, 1940 in Pasadena, California to Eugene and Lily Powell. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 until his honorable discharge in 1962. In 1963 he began his career as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Costa Mesa, California. Delivering the mail is where he met his wife Marie; they were married on February 20th 1965 in Costa Mesa. They were happily married for over 40 years. When he retired from the Postal Service in 1993 they moved to Grants Pass. Ron enjoyed going to Garage sales. Survivors Include: Wife Marie Powell Son Mike Powell Son Chris Powell Daughter Tylene Morgan Daughter Ann Dawson 4 Grandchildren
