Robert V. Staley Sr.

Robert V. Staley Sr. Passed away on October 5, 2011 at home in Grants Pass. A service will be held on October 15, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints with Bishop Monte Sharp officiating. He was born March 20, 1930 in Kimberly, Idaho to Merritt and Anne Mae Staley. He enjoyed fishing, swimming and spending time with his friends. He went into the Navy and spent 21 years serving his country that he so dearly loved. While in the Navy he received Medical Training which he never forgot and used his entire life. He married, had three children Diana Jean, Robert Jr. and Richard and moved his family to the San Francisco Bay Area. He had 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren all in California. On April 27th, 1985 in Los Gatos, California he married Sharon Haunani who survives, together they moved to Oregon in 1989. He loved plants, flowers and spending time with family and friends. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten. The family would like to thank Asante Hospice for the wonderful job they did. They will always be grateful for the quality of service and their caring thoughtfulness.
