Robert Lee Posey

Robert Lee Posey, 63, passed away March 11, 2013 at his home in Grants Pass, Oregon. Services will be held Saturday, March 16, 2013, 1:00 PM at Stephens Family Chapel in Grants Pass with interment to follow at Sparlin Cemetery in Williams, Oregon. Robert was born on July 12, 1949 in Porterville, California to Robert and Martha Posey. On December 26, 1969 he married Patricia Metcalfe in Vancouver, B.C. Canada. In 1996 they moved to Oregon from London, Ontario, Canada. Robert began working as a printing press technician and salesman, then went on to be head custodian at Three Rivers School District and later became a general contractor. He enjoyed Bible studies, woodworking, hand wood carving, sailing, blacksmithing, playing the guitar, and composting. He was a member of the Christadelphian Ecclesia. In addition to his wife, survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and David Wisniewski of Brantford, Ontario, Canada; daughter, Karen Suggs of Grants Pass, Oregon; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Elizabeth Posey of Grants Pass, Oregon; sisters and brother-in-laws, Sally and John Pursell of Grants Pass, Oregon, Jean and Edward Juan of Bakersfield, California, Carol and Mike Record of Portsmouth, Virginia and 7 grandchildren with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Posey; mother, Martha Posey and brother, J.W. Posey.
