Robert S. Hawkes

Robert S. Hawkes, 66 of Grants Pass died Wednesday, February 7, 2007 in Grants Pass. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Jerome Prairie Bible Church, 2564 Walnut Avenue, Grants Pass with Pastor James Downing Officiating. A memorial fund has been set up to help relieve medical expenses: Pat Hawkes C/o U.S. Bank 340 NE Beacon Drive Grants Pass, OR 97526 Robert was born May 16, 1940 in Marysville, California to Raymond and Ann Hawkes. He served in the U.S. Air Force from October, 1957 until his honorable discharge in October of 1961. On December 31, 1958 in Fairfield, California he married Pat L. Huffman. He worked from 1965 -1977 as an Operating Engineer. Robert was a welder for over 40 years he owned and operated Hawkes Welding for 10 years in Fairfield, California. In 1998 they moved to Grants Pass from Fairfield, California. He was a member of the Jerome Prairie Bible Church in Grants Pass. He enjoyed wood working, fishing, and hunting and rose gardening. Survivors Include: Wife, Pat L. Hawkes of Grants Pass; 3 Sons: Steven Hawkes of Bedford, VA, Randy Hawkes of Denver, Colorado and Michael Hawkes of Grants Pass, Oregon; Daughter, D̢۪Ann McDaniel of North Bend, Oregon; 11 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
