Richard âDickâ Love, 85, of Grants Pass died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Three Rivers Community Hospital. No services are planned He was born Richard Russell Love on January 12, 1925 to Robert and Hazel Love in Hollywood, California. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the United States Marines serving during WWII in the Pacific. As a young man he trained Tennessee Trotters, rode as a jockey and Brahma bulls in the rodeo. He spent most of his adult life in the lumber business eventually owning and operating a small lumber mill in Sonoma County, California. He and his wife of 22 years moved to Grants Pass for their retirement. During their life together they loved RVing, going to the horse races and spending time with their numerous friends and large family. They were active in the Elks and American Legion. She preceded him in death on February 22, 2007. Survivors include 12 children; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren Dick will be very missed by his family and friends.
