Raymond Thomas Knaub, 79, of Rogue River died March 31, 2009, at Three Rivers Community Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Rogue River Seventh-day Adventist Church. The youngest of seven children, he was born Dec. 3, 1929, in Badlands, N.D., to Gladys Josephine Munson-Knaub and Warren Henry Knaub. He served in the Army. On Oct. 22, 1957, in Glendale, Calif., he married Virginia Elsie Erickson, who survives. In the early 1970s, they moved to Plymouth, Ind., where he worked as a supervisor at Wells Aluminum Extrusion. In October 1993, they moved to Rogue River to be near family. He enjoyed gardening, his fruit trees, pet birds, nature, traveling and reading. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing basketball, archery, square dancing and dancing the waltz. At age 79, he accepted Jesus as his savior. In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Penny of Grand Ronde; a sister, Marion of Florida; two stepsons, Richard Pelham and Robert Kruger, both of Grants Pass; a stepdaughter, Anita McKenna of California; a granddaughter and several stepgrandchildren.
