Raymond M. Cathey

Raymond M. Cathey, 78 of Grants Pass passed away Friday, July 25, 2008 at his home in Grants Pass. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 11:00 AM, at the Grants Pass Masonic Lodge. Contributions: Lovejoy Hospice or Shriners Hospitals for Children-Portland 3101 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Rd, Portland, Oregon 97239-3095 Raymond was born on March 1, 1930 in Columbia, Louisiana to Raymond and Marie Cathey. He married Carol Nielsen on July 28, 1953 in Crescent City (she preceded him in death on August 30, 2007). In December of 2000 they moved to Grants Pass from Healdsburg, CA. He was a member of the Masons since 1970. He enjoyed participating in the Masons and Shriners activities. Raymond loved the outdoors, camping and fishing. Survivors include his Son, Michael Cathey of Grants Pass; Daughter Alison Cathey (Pigoni) of Grants Pass; Five sisters and two brothers and Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
