Philip âPhilâ Misner, 77 of Grants Pass passed away Monday, July 30, 2007 at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Grants Pass. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 11:00 AM, Calvary Crossroads in Grants Pass with Pastor Bob Bonner officiating. Interment will be held on Monday, August 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM, Eagle Point National Cemetery in Eagle Point, Oregon. Phil was born on November 4, 1929 in Los Angeles, California to Edward and Clara Misner. He served in the US Army from March 1, 1951 until his honorable discharge on February 25, 1953. Phil worked as a residential building contractor for over 30 years. On May 15, 1976 in Sand Point, Idaho Phil married Beatrice Marie Anderson. Together they moved to Grants Pass from Warrenton, Oregon in 2001. Phil enjoyed traveling, working with his hands, building, games (Word search, solitaire, etc), and spending time with family and friends. Phil was a member of Calvary Crossroads Church, Gideons International, and the V.F.W. Survivors include his wife Bea Misner of Grants Pass; Daughter, Shela Pierce of Warrenton, OR; Son, Gerald Misner of Las Vegas, Nevada; Son, Michael Misner of Bothell, WA; Son, Philip Misner of Grants Pass, OR; Daughter, Shelly Phipps of Walla Walla, WA; Son, Evan Bowman of El Cajon, CA; Son, Todd Bowman of Grants Pass, OR; Daughter, Susan Brown of Grants Pass, OR; Sister, Pauline Frank of Hemet, CA; Brother, Daniel Misner of Calimesa, CA; Brother, Steve Misner of Oceanside, CA; Sister, Grace Cuthburt of Coeur DâAlene, ID; 21 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Phil is preceded in death by a grandson Derrek Misner and two sisters.
