Peggy Templeton, 82 of Grants Pass passed away, August 21, 2012 at her home after a long battle with Cancer. Celebration of life will be held on Monday, 1:00 PM at Stephens Family Chapel with Carl Wilson officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions: The Marge Bartle Scholarship Fund of PEO, C/O Gwen Childs, 475 Needlewood Drive, Grants Pass, Oregon 97526 She was born in Brownwood, Texas on April 12, 1930 to Earl & Ruth McClatchy. She received her bachelor's degree in journalism from Texas Tech University in 1951 then worked at the Lubbock Avalanche - Journal Newspaper. She later hosted a variety show on KFYO radio. She married Hugh Templeton on February 19, 1955 and later that year they moved to Klamath Falls. They eventually settled in Medford where she worked for KMED TV. They moved to Grants Pass in 1973 where she was a long-standing member of the EH Chapter of PEO, her most beloved affiliation. She also served as a pink lady at Josephine General Hospital and was a member of the Kiwanian Dames and the Grants Pass Golf Club. Her parents and a son, Larry Templeton, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband Hugh, her son Steve of Eagle River, Alaska, her daughter Vicki Templeton of Medford, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Peggy will be remembered as a loving wife, caring mother and devoted friend.
