Paul C. Gutzman, 78, of Rogue River died Tuesday June 28, 2011 at his daughter's home in Murphy. A memorial will be held Monday, July 4th, 2011, 11am at Stephens Family Chapel. Private interment was held at Woodville Cemetery in Rogue River/ Gutzman was born in Norfolk, NE. He graduated from Van Nuys High School in 1950. He was in the National Guard and attended Pierce College for Veterinary Medicine and Iowa Auctioneer college. He was the show herd manager for Adohr Farms in Camarillo. CA. He won the world hand milking championship in 1962. He moved his family to Oregon in 1972 and started his hoof-trimming business for cattle. He enjoyed traveling, music, the ocean and was a wonderful artist. He had a great sense of humor and was a true cattleman at heart. His survivors include his sister Donna Bell of WA., his faithful companion Jan Rehea, 3 children; Sharon Fisher, Cindy Horban and Paul O. Gutzman. 7 grandchildren; Deanna Williams, Michael Freudenthaler, Raquel Olson, Jadd Horban, Tiffany Horban, Krystle Phelan and Paul A Gutzman and 8 great grandchildren all of Grants Pass.
