Patricia "Patti" Cornett, 64, of Grants Pass died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, at Highland House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Stephens Family Chapel, with Ken Bern, pastor, officiating. Cornett was born March 12, 1944, in Gilroy, Calif., to Donald and Goldie Peters. Her family moved to Southern Oregon when she was 6 years old. She enjoyed gardening, concerts and Shakespearean plays. She also was a fan of the University of Oregon. Survivors include four daughters, Evyonn James of Frankston, Texas, Candy Walker of Sutherlin, Melissa Masters of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ronni Lovingfoss of Grants Pass; three brothers, Gene and Eddie Barnes and Gray Peters; two sisters, Janet Shaw and Debbie Poydack; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her husband, James D. Cornett, died before her.
