Orval V. "Val" Johnson

Orval "Val" Johnson, 78 of Selma passed away January 20, 2012 at Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center in Grants Pass. Graveside services with military honors will be held Saturday, 11:00 AM at Laurel Cemetery in Cave Junction with Pastor Ken Bern officiating He was born on July 12, 1933 in Flint, Michigan to Harold & Bessie Johnson. Val served in the United States Navy from October 22, 1951 until his honorable discharge on October 21, 1959. He worked as an engineer in Aerospace for most of his life. In 1984 he moved to Selma from Long Beach, California. He enjoyed gun collecting and classic cars. Survivors include his son Brian Johnson and two grandchildren, Stephan and Brittany Johnson.
