Norman Scott Evans, 54, of Grants Pass died on February 3, 2009 at his home in Grants Pass. No services are planned Contributions in lieu of flowers: Norman Evans Memorial Fund at any branch of Umpqua Bank. Born on February 24, 1954 in Palo Alto, California to Lyle and Ulloa Evans. Norman graduated from Awalt High School (Now named Mountain View Union High) in California. Norman moved to Grants Pass in 1974. During his many years in Grants Pass he owned Replay Records in Grants Pass and Replay Records in Medford. Since 1992 he did contract maintenance with PP&L and did residential window washing. Norman enjoyed stained glass, music, accordion, guitar, gold panning, bottle digging, medicine, animal care (especially cats) and politics. Norman was a gentle and generous person but very private. He was great to talk with and always courteous. Survivors include his mother, Ulloa Evans of Salem, OR; two brothers, William Evans of Grants Pass and Eric Evans of Cave Junction; two sisters, Lynn Morrison of Sonora, CA and Elaine Luth of Salem, OR; uncle, Garner Evans of Scott Mills, OR; aunt Helen Smith of Redding, CA; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Lyle Evans died August 24, 2008; two uncles Virgil Evans, Grants Pass and Clifford Evans of Rogue River.
