Norbert "Bert" Zwan

Norbert "Bert" Zwan, 89 of Grants Pass passed away December 1, 2014 at Ashley Manor Care Center in Grants Pass, Oregon. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014, 10:00 AM at Stephens Family Chapel in Grants Pass, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to Asante Hospice, 2960 Doctors Park Dr. Medford, OR 97504. Norbert was born on June 16, 1925 in Valley, Washington to Andrew and Mary Zwan. He was the youngest of 13 children. He served in the United States Navy from 1943-1945. Throughout his life he worked as a logger and an electrician. He enjoyed gold mining and gardening. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife Tommy Lou Zwan of Grant Pass; daughter, Lynda LaRoche of Yuba City, California and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
