On July 17, 1978, she married Dannis Mortenson in Pacifica, CA at the "Kansas City Stockyards", a favorite restaurant. Nancie was blessed with a daughter and two sons. The family lived in the SF Bay area for 20 years where Nancie was involved with the Pacifica Police Department as a dispatcher and all around great help to the department. She also had the opportunity to work with the Miss USA and Miss California beauty pageants...and loved it! In 1982, the Mortenson family moved to Wimer, OR.
