Minnie Lucretia Daniels

Minnie Lucretia Daniels, 89 of Grants Pass passed away peacefully, Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at her daughter and son-in-law's home in Grants Pass. Visitation will be held Friday, November 15, 2013 from 10:00AM - 12:00PM at Akes Funeral Family Funeral Home. Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 PM at Akes Funeral Home 9695 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92503. (951) 785-4071, Committal service will follow at 2:01PM at Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Lovejoy Hospice, 939 SE 8th St, Grants Pass, OR 97526. Minnie was born on June 15, 1924 in Deer Grove, Illinois to George and Mina Patterson. She graduated from Seneca High School, Seneca Illinois in 1941. She attended Silver Cross Hospital School of Nursing in Joliet, Ill. graduating in 1944. On September 1, 1950 in Seneca, Illinois she married Robert Karl Daniels, he preceded her in death in 1987. Minnie worked most of her life in the Nursing field as a private duty nurse, nurse for a Doctor's office and as an office manager for her husband's trucking company. In 1994 she moved to Grants Pass from San Diego, California to be close to her daughter. Minnie enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing, gardening, bird watching, taking care of grandchildren and great grandchildren, attending marching band competitions, active with girl scouts, chaperoning school field trips and volunteering for Fish Food Pantry. She was a member of Newman United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Mary & Tom Sellers of Grants Pass; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was proceeded in death by an infant daughter 1959, and her brothers Francis Patterson and Arthur Patterson.
