Mervin "Merv" Joe Hartman, 83 of Grants Pass passed away Thursday February 6, 2025 at Redwood Terrace in Grants Pass.
Born on August 21, 1941 in Carlton, Oregon to Joe and Frances Hartman. Mervin moved to Grants Pass from McMinnville, Oregon in 1971. He worked as a surveyor for the Federal Highway Administration in Oregon, Washington and Montana including the construction of highway 140 in Southern Oregon. After an on-the-job injury, Mervin began working for First American Title in Grants Pass until his retirement in 2005.
He enjoyed playing guitar with several country & western bands in the Willamette Valley.
Survivors include his wife Melinda Hartman of Grants Pass; Sons Benjamin Hartman and Jeffrey Hartman; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Phyllis Hartman in 2002; daughter, Teresa; sister, Arbutice Dipaolo and Parents Joe and Frances Hartman.
