Melanie Howell - Lindstrom

Melanie Ann Lindstrom passed away unexpectedly Dec. 10, 2012 in Arcata, CA. Born March 27, 1968 in Lebanon, Or. She went to elementary schools in Arcata and graduated from Arcata High. She was an excellent athlete playing on the Girl's varsity team in baseball, basketball and volleyball. Melanie also had been a fitness teacher at Health Sport in Arcata. She even competed in a fitness competition taking first prize with her one handed push-ups . After graduating from high school she worked for Louisiana Pacific for 5 years. She married Dale Lindstrom in 1989 and was a stay at home Mom taking care of her two children. Melanie will always be remembered for her infectious laughter and good sense of humor. In 2011 she went back to work for Humboldt Plaza. She was preceded in death by her Grandfathers Wilburn Howell and George MacDonald, her grandmother Alice Howell Boyle, her Uncle Larry Howell. She is loved and survived by her husband Dale Lindstrom, daughter Molly Lindstrom and son Walter Lindstrom of McKinleyville. Mother Linda Lutz and Grandmother Ruth MacDonald of Lebanon, Or. Father Frank Howell, (Mom) Cheryl Howell, of Grants Pass Oregon, sister Kelley Schindler of Rogue River, and sister CJ Lutz of Lebanon, Or. Plus many Aunts, Uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins. She will be missed by her family and many friends she made throughout her short life.
