Mary Leone "Pat" Pope

Mary "Pat" Leone Pope, 88, of Grants Pass passed away March 12, 2011 in Grants Pass. Contributions: Rogue Valley Humane Society She was born on February 8, 1923 in Decatur, Arkansas to Rector and Minnie Patterson. She attended school up until the 8th grade. At age 14 she left home to be independent. She married Paul Pope on March 17, 1943 in Fort Knox, Kentucky he preceded her in death On September 8, 2008. She worked as an Engineering Aide for Pacific Telephone Company for 20 years. In 2001 they moved to Grants Pass to be close to their daughter. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and she loved cats. She was a member of the Ruby Relics Red Hats. Survivors Include her daughter and son-in-law Paula and Kerry Cowell of Merlin; son & Daughter-in-law Terry & Barbara Pope of Concord, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband William Paul Pope Sr (2008) and her son William Paul Pope Jr (1986).
